Air, valve operation, flow balance and restrictions can affect how a radiator heats. The engineer needs the pattern across the home before recommending bleeding, balancing, a valve repair or further investigation. A cold radiator does not automatically justify a power flush.

Avoid handling a hot radiator or forcing a stuck valve. If a leak is spreading, phone about urgent repair availability. If the whole home has lost heating, use the no-heating route and explain the wider problem.
Valve parts, draining and refilling, the number of radiators and access affect the quote. Balancing the system, replacing a radiator or cleaning it internally should be specifically agreed instead of assumed to be part of a small repair.
